Valuables worth millions of rupees reduced to ashes as horrific fire erupted in a five-storey plaza on MM Alam Road on Tuesday morning, rescuers said. Initially, the rescuers said it is believed that the fire was erupted in the plaza due to an electricity short circuit, adding it was being run by a famous departmental store. Luckily, no casualty was reported by the rescuers and police.

After receiving information of the incident, a contingent of police and rescuers reached the site and started extinguishing process. The rescuers said the cooling process lasted for long as the fire was very huge and severe when they reached there.
